MANLY is situated Seven miles North-East of Sydney, on the Northern Beaches, and is easily accessed by car, bus, ferry or jet cat - which will take no longer than 15 minutes from Circular Quay. MANLY is a prime tourist location and attraction. MANLY boasts a wide variety of activities, amusements, dining, lookouts, and, scenic walks, with its pine-lined walk ways alongside the beaches, crystal clear water and golden sand. Surrounded by water on 3 sides, Manly is the perfect destination for swimming, sailing and surfing. You can choose from its 18 northern ocean beaches, coves and inlets. OCEAN WORLD is situated at Manly Cove beach. Live shows and daily guided tours allows you to get close to all of Sydneys Marine and Wildlife. MANLY is also full of family fun and cultural activities. There is a Sailing Club, a Surf Life Saving Club, Twin Cinemas, a Civic Club, 5 Star Hotels. There is also an Art Gallery and Museum in Manly. MANLY also hosts The Jazz Festival on the October long weekend with free performances, and, the Food and Wine Festival in June with the great combination of fine food and wines of the scenic beach setting. MANLY CORSO has many fine attributes, such as its many shops that cater for all preferences and ages. There are over 80 restaurants, varying in cultural diversity and budgets. Most restaurants are situated on beach front locations or Harbour side with a choice of indoor or outdoor seating.
Manly Eastern Hills Heritage Walk: begins at East Esplanade finishing at South Steyne. 2-3 hour walk. Visit the beaches along the way or stop and have a picnic on the varied walk. The walk is steep and there are some steps. Manly to Spit Bridge Scenic Walk: 10km/ 3 hr walk (one way). The walk may be done in various sections and extends to The Sydney Harbour National Park. Quite Hard Walking involved. Manly to Shelley Beach:15 minute walk for all ages and disabilities. The Cabbage Tree Eco-Sculpture walk will give you an insight to the bays marine life, plants, animals, history and attractions through its sculptures it is also Braille notation for the vision impaired. FairFax Walk-North Head: 15 minute walk, with magnificent lookouts of the City Skyline excellent location in the Whale Watching season to spot the mammals
